The Long Way is the third movement of a four movement big band work created for a concert with the great Canadian jazz flugelhorn player Kenny Wheeler. Originally scored for 3 saxes, 3 trumpets, 1 trombone and rhythm, this version is scored for standard big band. This arrangement can be played with or without vocalist.
